Website Design

I am not a web designer, but I am great at solving problems. After months of being in limbo with our third party web developers making our travel website, the owners asked me if I could create one temporary landing page to house some travel pages provided by our consortia. I quickly taught myself how to make a simple, five page mini website for our travel side.

With that success, I also was asked to create the following websites:

- Travel Club                 - THL Vacations

- Travel                         - Vacation Package (temp)

-Sales Presentation    - Sales Script

Eblasts

I was in charge of the design, copy and programming of our email campaigns. Ranging from our 20,000 member subscribers to new members and leads gained from outreach events, a carefully constructed marketing strategy paved the way for all digital communications. The problem that I had to work around was the company owners' passion for frequent, vibrant colors in all of their imagery.

Our eNewsletters were sent out monthly to our current clients that tied in all aspects of what our company offered. I would come up with a theme based on the seasonal consumer interest and work with the travel department on integrating their current offers for the month as well as working with our vacation rental/ resale lead to determine which properties to highlight based on our inventory and how to tie it into the monthly theme.

Social Media

Reputation and engagement are huge responsibilities for every brand, so as a member of the marketing departmetnt, I helped create a social media strategy, PPC campaigns, cover and image designs, and tagging to optimize visibility on our budget While I created the annual blogging/ posting calendar for some of the sites, our social media specialists took care of the day to day engagement. This yielded a large leap in both organic and promotional likes especially since the budget was very sparce and most of the social efforts were relatively new.

Events & Sponsorships

Part of the job included going to trade shows and sponsored events to enhance customer reach to targeted markets. This meant that I played an integral role in preparing for the events, regardless if it was creating the messaging for the printed material, ordering swag, uniforms, or simply coordinating staff communications for set-up and tear-down. For the events or places where our advertising was geared more to the businesses than the consumers, then our team would work on targeted ads or sponsored emails over show attendance.
